Hey Environmental Enthusiasts,
Green Week and Earthfest are upon us! As such, we are collecting items for the events that are planned. If you have any large appliance-sized cardboard boxes, wooden palettes, tie-dye, face paint, or art supplies to spare, please drop them off in the lobby of Carmichael Hall. We'll take care of the rest.
Here's what you can dig this week and next:
WEDNESDAY - 4/8
3pm- Serendipitous FREE STORE Swap Meet on the quad. Bring anything (clothes, sports equipment, books, etc.) to trade.
8pm-SGA Departmental of Environmental Concerns meeting in the Ferg Plaza to pass out fliers for GREEN WEEK
SUNDAY – 4/12
4pm – UAEC Earthfest Planning Meeting in 109 Carmichael Hall

*Submit to the Food for Thought Foto Project. Students for Sustainability wants to you to show how far your food has traveled. Take pictures of the foods in your fridge, pantry, cabinet, tables and plates and email them to sustain@ua.edu with as much information as possible on the origins of the food.*

Tuesday, April 14- Tee-Time Goes Green
Location: Lawn of Doster Hall
Time: 7 PM
*Fashion students are creating clothes and accessories that must be made of 20% reused or recycled material. There will be a runway show and a silent auction for their creations.
Wednesday, April 15- Wall-E Screening
Location: Quad near Carmichael (rain event- in Ferg Theater)
Time: 7 PM
Thursday, April 16- Green Themed Critical Mass
Location: Meet at Denny Chimes
Time: 4 PM
Friday, April 17- Green Themed Step Tease at Ferg Plaza with performances by NPHC sororities and fraternities, Rip Tide dancers, and D- Sharp.
Time: 12 PM- 2 PM
Saturday, April 18- Go Green Guerrilla Theater
Location: Parking lot in front of Morgan Hall
Time: 11 PM
Sunday, April 19- UAEC'S Earthfest
Location: Quad
Time: 10 AM
