I'm taking a carload to Hurricane Creek tomorrow to tidy up at Hurricane Creek (no, we won't be wading around in it--we'll basically be weeding the area around the creek). John Wathen, the creek's keeper, will be there to speak about the landmark. Devouring of potluck delicacies begins around NOON THIRTY. Call me (Emily) before 11:30 a.m. if you want to ride with--256/797.2999.

>From the campus area: Take Jack Warner Parkway N. to Crescent Ridge Road. Turn Left then immediately turn right at the first stop sign. Follow Alabama Ave. to the fork in the road. Take the right fork. Follow Holt Peterson Rd to the bridge. There will be lots of signs and boats at the staging area. Can't miss it.
>From Alberta City area: Take University Blvd to intersection at 15th street and hwy 216. Take 216 toward Brookwood. After you cross Hurricane Creek take the third paved road to the left. This will be County Rd 88. Follow 88 to the stop sign and turn left. Follow Holt Peterson Rd. to the bridge. Can't miss it!
