Hey UAEC Members,
For those of you who cannot make tonight's showing of The 11th Hour in
173 Nott Hall at 8 p.m., consider watching Liquid Assets: The Story Of
Our Water Infrastructure on PBS, which will air at the same time as the
UAEC's film screening. The documentary will provide an
investigative look on what it will take to maintain U.S. water and
wastewater systems. Visit the Liquid Assets Website at

On Monday Oct 20, 10 - 11pm, on PBS, check out FUELING OUR FUTURE: A
FRED FRIENDLY SEMINAR--CNN's Frank Sesno will stand before a panel of s
of scientists, business leaders, politicians and journalists who assume
roles within the America's energy crisis.
On Nov. 5-6, there will be a "Going Green: Strategies for Sustainable
Economic Development" conference at a 4H camp in Columbiana,AL. For more

National Day(s) of Action against the coal industry and its financiers
will take place on Nov. 14 and 15. Look over www.dirtymoney.org to find
out more about the cause and to brainstorm ways to raise awareness about
the issues on campus.
Be prepared to toss your ideas at the next UAEC meeting, which will
occur at 4 p.m. this Sunday in room 109 Carmichael Hall. We hope to see
