NATIONAL DAYS OF ACTION AGAINSTS COAL AND COAL FINANCE - NOV. 14 & 15
Greenpeace, Rainforest Action Network and friends are calling for National Days of Action against Coal and Coal Finance on Nov.14 & 15 that entail a push for no new coal plants because of their contribution to greenhouse gas emissions and the ending of mountaintop removal, which poisons water, land, and communities. The organizations are asking you to educate yourself about the coal industry and its financiers. Because the coal industry is largely supported by CitiBank and Bank of America, the aforementioned organizations encourage pressuring these financial institutions to end their ties with furthering coal’s use as an energy source by closing accounts held with these banks and expressing discontent to banking executives.
More information about the National Days of Action can be found at www.dirtymoney.org.
