You're welcome to contribute to the bake sale that's being coordinated by UAEC secretary Hanna Welch (hkwelch@bama.ua.edu)--just drop off baked goods at the UAEC table on Thursday morning.
If you'd like to participate in a bake-a-thon with the members of the SGA Department of Environmental Concerns, they'll be cooking it up at 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Justinn Trott's place, which is located at 1320 Paul Bryant Drive Apt 4 on the side of the building facing the PARADE gas station (Mapquest it or call Justinn for more info: 205/288.7112).
There will be a free screening of The Power of Community: How Cuba Survived Peak Oil this Thursday, October 2, at 8 p.m. in Nott Hall room 173. Come be enlightened and snack on a few SALAD ROLLS provided by Ruan Thai (a wonderful restaurant in a quaint white house next to the BP on University Boulevard).
See attached scholarship form for details regarding the reforestation project in Costa Rica that will take place Dec. 28-Jan. 6. The form and an accompanying article are due to a UAEC officer by Oct. 23.
The last day to apply to be an Environmental Ambassador is next TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30th AT 4 PM. Don't forget about our Sunday meeting at 4 p.m. in room 109 of Carmichael Hall!
