Welcome to the blog of the organization formerly
known as The University of Alabama Chapter of the Alabama Environmental
Council. The first thing to announce about what is now known as The
University of Alabama Environmental Council is the name change and its
accompanying acronym--UAEC. Our justification for this change is that it differentiates us from the state AEC, and it's less of a mouthful.
During the fall semester, the UAEC would like to focus on connecting with other ecologically focused organizations on campus. The UAEC's members, which from here on out shall be referred to as the collective pronouns "us" and "we" with the accompanying possessive pronoun "our," would like to help connect students to these
organizations and be a hub among them. We also want to continue seeking
knowledge about environmental issues and communicating that knowledge
to others. In order to do so, we plan to host presentations at our
meetings that cover a slew of topics that relate to environmentalism.
So you're recognize us, we've made a logo:

We want to have a bit of fun outside of UA, too, so we're planning a retreat to (INSERT LOCATION NAME HERE ;) ).
Our meetings day and time is undecisively 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
We're open to any questions and suggestions. Click "comment," type 'em up, and we'll make it a point to respond.
Ta-ta for now,
We of the UAEC
